MODULAR COORDINATION IN BUILDING
(SNA 04)

Modular Coordination is an international system that standardizes measurement in a building. The purpose of this system is to coordinate the position and measurement of components and space in building design. This course provides understanding and skills in the use of Modular Coordination in design and the preparation of architectural drawing.

Course Objectives:

  • To use Modular Coordination in Building Design and Architectural Drawing preparation.

Course Contents:

  • Industrialization of construction in Malaysia.

  • Design concept using components and build ability.

  • Introduction to MS 1064.

  • Modular design rules.

  • Workshop 1, 2, 3 & 4.

  • Implication of MC in rules and regulations.

LANDSCAPE 1: INTRODUCTION TO LANDSCAPE PLANTS
(SNA 05)

Plants are one of the important elements in Landscape Architecture whereby their choice and usage will determine the effectiveness of the landscape design.

Course Objectives:

  • To identify plants according to their classification and usage.

  • To choose suitable plants for the landscape design.

Course Contents:

  • Introduction to landscape design.

  • National Landscape Guidelines.

  • Elements and functions of landscape plants.

  • Classification of plants and their usage.

  • Criteria in choosing plants for landscape.

  • Turf and Turf management.

  • Plant identification and design assessment.

LANDSCAPE 2: LANDSCAPE DESIGN AND DRAWING
(SNA 06)

Landscape architecture is a product of design ideas. This course provides knowledge and skills in the aspects of design concept and process as well as related drawings.

Course Objectives:

  • To prepare complete and detail landscape drawings.

  • Introduction to the history and types of landscape.

  • Principles and elements of landscape design.

LANDSCAPE 3: IMPLEMENTATION OF LANDSCAPE PROJECT
(SNA 07)

In order to ensure that landscape design is successfully realized, quality supervision and monitoring of landscape project is essential. Thus, this course is designed to provide knowledge and skills regarding some important aspects in the implementation of landscape projects.

Course Objectives:

  • To supervise the implementation of landscape project more systematically.

  • To supervise landscape maintenance works more effectively.

  • Understanding and interpreting landscape plan.

  • Implementation of landscape project (overview).

  • General works specifications.

  • Planting works specification.

  • Fertilizing.

  • Trimming and pruning.

  • Disease and pest control.

INTERIOR DESIGN
(SNA 08)

Interior Design plays an important role in projecting the image and culture of an office. This course provides the skills and awareness in aspects of Interior design and management.

  • To identify and choose suitable materials and finishes.

  • To plan and manage interior design project systematically and effectively.

SEWERAGE AND SURFACE WATER DRAINAGE SYSTEM
(SNB 14)

This course provides awareness in the principles of sewerage and water surface drainage system as well as providing skills in the related drawings.

Course Objectives:

  • To use the principles of sewerage and surface water drainage in the preparation of working drawings.

  • To prepare complete and detailed drawings of the drainage system.

  • Sanitary fittings.

  • Sanitary pipe system and materials.
