OCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH AWARENESS WORKSHOP
(KKE 1)

This course provides brief information on Occupational Safety and Health Awareness in Malaysia, cause of accidents and preventive measures. Knowledge on Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994.

Course Objectives:

  • Information and statistics on occupational accidents.

  • Cause of accidents and preventive measures in work sector.

  • Responsibilities of employees and employer towards safety and health at work place.

  • Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994.

Course Contents:

  • Introduction to Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994 and its regulations.

  • Introduction to Factories and Machinery 1967 (Act 139).

  • Causes and risks of accidents at work place.

  • Accidents and risks control at work place.

FIRE PREVENTION AND SAFETY IN BUILDINGS
(KKE 2)

This course provides knowledge on fire hazards, usage of fire extinguishers and fire fighting methods.

Course Objectives:

  • Fire hazards at building and work place.

  • Responsibilities in fire prevention, usage of fire extinguishers and action to take when fire occurs.

  • Guidelines and fire escape methods in emergency situation.

Course Contents:

  • Introduction to Fire Safety Management.

  • Fire chemistry.

  • Results from fire and using fire extinguishers.

  • Fire protection system and preparation before fire.

  • Life saving exercise.

  • Factors faced with fire at buildings.

  • Signages for storage and transportation of hazardous materials.

CIDB GREEN CARD SAFETY AND HEALTH INDUCTION FOR CONSTRUCTION WORKERS
(KKE 3)

This course provides information to participants operating construction work on the importance of implementing the CIDB Green Card programme at construction sites. To inform participants the effects of not implementing safety management at construction site. Green Card programme enhances awareness on construction site hazards.

Course Objectives:

  • To reduce possibilities of accidents and damage towards construction personnel, public or property by ensuring that rules and regulations are followed.

  • To instill the culture of caring towards safety and health aspects at work site and to be concerned on welfare of construction personnel via Takaful Protection Scheme.

Course Contents:

  • Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994.

  • Factories and Machinery 1967 (Act 139).

FIRE AND SAFETY MANAGEMENT
(KKE 4)

This course provides knowledge on fire safety management and methods of systematic management in accordance with specifications required by the fire authority.

Course Objectives:

  • Fire safety management, methods of fire safety control and prevention.

  • Pre-planning methods in fire and emergency situation.

  • Responsibilities and action needed from a worker or personnel.

  • Able to take action in handling fire or situations capable of threatening life and damage to properties.

  • Advantage to participants and department as well as providing awareness in aspects of fire prevention at work or at home.

SAFETY AND HEALTH COMMITTEE
(KKE 5)

This course provides a deeper understanding on the functions of Safety and Health Committee in aspects of workers’ safety and health at work place.

Course Objectives:

  • Understand the provisions of the Safety and Health Committee Regulations.

  • Explain the basics of OSH and its regulations.

  • Understand OSH management concept.

  • Understand efficient committee management techniques.

  • Understand techniques of workplace safety inspection.

  • Understand accident investigation procedures.

CHEMICAL HAZARDS AT WORK PLACE
(KKE 6)

This course provides knowledge on chemical hazards in laboratories. Introduction to types of acid hazardous to health.

Course Objectives:

  • Types of chemical used at work place.

  • Level of hazards and its effect to workers exposed to the chemicals.

  • The effects of chemicals exposure to the safety and health of workers.

  • Control methods and reduction of PPE.

  • Adhering to OSHA 94 and USECHH 2000 guidelines.

Course Contents:

  • Introduction to types of chemical (definition, types and toxic level).

  • Introduction to chemical hazards and safety of workers.

  • Dangerous chemicals and their effects on workers’ safety and health, if exposed.

  • Control method and usage of suitable PPE.

  • Adhering to OSHA 94 and USECHH 2000 guidelines.

  • Record keeping.

SITE AND BUILDING SAFETY
(KKE 7)

These regulations shall apply to building operations and engineering construction works.

  • Assess and handle safety and health issues at construction sites.

  • Plan and prepare necessary preventive measures to avoid occupational injuries and diseases.

WORK SAFETY AND HEALTH MANAGEMENT
(KKE 8)

This course provides knowledge and benefits to individuals by enabling them to conduct effective first aid. The course is designed in accordance with the requirements of Ministry of Health, Malaysia.

Course Objectives:

  • Aspects of First Aid and emergency assistance to needy victims.

  • To understand the methods in giving treatment.

  • To be responsible and ready to take action in facing unexpected situation.
